14 Ways to be More Mindful + Feel Good Every Damn Day

There’s no denying it, sometimes our day to do experience can be so busy and have us pulled in a million different directions that we forget to be mindful and present. 60% of the things we do each day are the same, and 95% of our thoughts, feelings and actions are based from our subconscious mind, which means we can shift into autopilot pretty darn easily.

That means we have to put in a little bit more effort to not only be more mindful and present, so that we can feel good in those moments, but to do so consistently enough that it becomes apart of our subconscious programming, so that we can be in higher vibrational states more often.

When we are vibrating at a higher frequency, we shift into a state of openness and allowing for that which we are manifesting to enter our experience.

Here are a few tips, tricks and techniques on how to be more mindful, present and feel good every damn day.

  1. Breathe…like actually breathe Taking, even just a few, full deep and complete conscious breaths all throughout the day will pull you right back into your body and the present moment. This helps us to be more responsive rather than reactive and makes us more calm, clear and connected. Pro Tip: Set an alarm on your phone once an hour, especially during business hours, to remind you to stop and breathe.

  2. Meditate So many of us feel like it’s counter intuitive to stop everything, to do nothing. We also seem to think we don’t have the time to meditate or think we aren’t doing it right so we don’t bother. Well I can safely say that stopping and doing “nothing”, even just for a few minutes, can have a significant effect on our overall well-being and mental health.

  3. Have an Attitude of Gratitude Shifting our focus into what we can be grateful for rather then complaining, will not only have you feeling good instantly, but will shift you into a higher level of consciousness. This will start to reprogram your mind so that it looks for the good in your life more often. This practice, when done consistently can have a massive impact on your quality of life, promote healing and attracting even more positive experiences.

  4. Move Yo’ Booty If you are felling stuck in lower frequency emotions, moving your physical body helps to move the energy and releases feel good hormones that get sent throughout your whole body. This doesn’t always mean working out at the gym every time, but dancing in your living room , doing yoga, going for a walk, stretching, jumping up and down… anything to shake it off and shift your physical state.

  5. Mindful Meals Whether you make your meal or you are eating out, taking a moment or two before you start eating to give thanks and charge your food is such a beautiful way to become more mindful when you are eating. Eating slowly and really tasting all the flavours and feeling all of the textures makes you truly enjoy your food and makes you super present.

  6. Use Affirmations Our words become reality and our thoughts become things. Our subconscious mind is always listening. Use affirmations that will help you feel good in the moment and also program your mind to be more positive, empowered and abundant.

  7. Drink (Filtered) Water Our body is made up of 70% water and takes 2 litres of water each day to function, so if you are feeling sluggish, foggy or even have some sort of headache or back pain, drink a bunch of water to reset your system.

  8. Listen to Good Music & Messaging Okay friends, some of the music that is popular right now is so low energy and downright unconscious. Be mindful what you are listening to and try and choose more music that makes you feel good and is up lifting. Putting on a podcast or audio book is amazing way to expand your mind, uplift your spirit and learn something new so that your mind is being nourished. Also , please don’t listen to the friggin news first thing in the morning or have it running in the background at home. It is non stop negativity and ain’t nobody got time for that!

  9. Put Your Phone On DND or Airplane Mode + Turn off the damn Notifications We are such slaves to our phones so much of the time, and it is a major cause of distraction and time wasting. You do not need to know every single time you get a like on Instagram or someone pokes you on Facebook. Turn the f’in notifications off and have your phone on silent every once and a while. Also giving yourself some time without any calls or messages is so important so that you can focus on yourself or whoever you are with and be more present!

  10. Make Time for Silence & Reflection If we don’t take any time to process our feelings, then we constantly bottle them up and suppress them which causes so many energetic blockages that have a huge impact on our over-all health. We need to feel through our emotions so that we can release the energy and get back into alignment. So many of our physical illnesses are caused by some sort of emotional and energetic blockage.

  11. Slow Down We are always in such a darn rush. We go from place to place, task to task, moment to moment and we don’t stop to truly be present. We skip over so much of experience that the days, weeks and years fly by without us even taking notice of all of the little moments that make like so magical. Slow down. Look around you. Take it all in. You get one chance in this physical body, be open to all of what it is offering you.

  12. Let Your Inner Child Free We get older and we forget how to play. We start to lose touch of our inner child who is curious, silly and care free. Let your guard down, laugh, play, ask questions, be curious, keep learning and benign wonder of the world around you.

  13. Laugh More Life can be downright tough sometimes, so the more we give ourselves the space to laugh and be joyful, the more we feel good and maintain the light within us. Laughing is also super healing, so get those good feeling chemicals pumping through your body with a nice solid laughathon. Throw on a comedy, meet up with friends who make your face hurt from smiling, whatever it takes, laugh more my darling!

  14. Treat Yo’ Self Self-care isn’t a luxury that only those who have an abundance of time and money can enjoy, it is a necessary part of our well-being that can cost no money at all. Doing something that makes you feel good, nourishes your mind, body and soul and creates space for you to recharge and realign is absolutely mandatory. We cannot give from an empty cup. Self-care can take a wide variety of forms, but however you choose to express it, you are showing yourself love and that my friend, is a major key to having a beautiful life.
