What 'Vibration' is & 8 Ways To Vibrate Higher

You might have seen me use the terms low vibration, high vibration or vibrate higher and wondered 'what the heck is this chick talking about?'. Well here is a little run down and 7 things you can do to VIBRATE HIGHER!

We need to truly wrap our heads around the idea that like attracts like and energy attracts energy. This is the Law of the Universe and there are NO exceptions. Until you realize that your thoughts, words, actions and emotions are creating/ attracting your reality, you will always be the victim of your experience

As soon as you start to VIBRATE HIGHER you are telling the Universe to send things your way that will match those higher, better feeling, abundance filled frequencies. The Universe does this by bringing into your experience the people, situations, opportunities and circumstances that will match the frequency of what you have been transmitting.


-You gossip and are judgmental.

-You struggle to feel gratitude.

-You focus primarily on the negative in life.

-Money is not flowing into your experience.

-You are argumentative.

-You are overly cynical and skeptical.

-You are feeling tired.

-You are surrounded by negative people.

-You find it hard to forgive yourself and other people.

-You bottle up feelings such as resentment and jealousy.

-You are emotionally reactive.

-You complain a lot.

-Your health is poor / you feel unhealthy.

-You feel "stuck"

...and so on.


-To others it may appear that you have all the luck in the world, when in actual fact you've invited it all in on your own.

-Patience comes easily to you.

-Opportunities and new doors spontaneously appear to you in life.

-You feel as though you have found your calling in life.

-You forgive yourself and other people easily.

-You eat raw, unprocessed food.

-You try to keep your life clutter free.

-You live in the present more than the past or future.

-Your body feels strong and healthy.

-You often experience synchronicity.

-You are in-tune with your body and its needs.

-Smiling and laughing comes easily to you.

-You regularly feel gratitude for what you have in life.

-You don’t take yourself too seriously.

-You have a great sense of humour towards life.

-You are emotionally balanced.

-You are highly creative and are often bursting with ideas and inspiration.

-You are empathetic towards others.

-You are self-aware.


1. Meditate (duh!...what did you think I was going to put as number 1?)

Meditation helps us to slow down, connect to ourselves, become more self aware and the physiological effects are super beneficial.

2. Start cultivating an attitude of gratitude

Whether this is in a journal, during your meditation or throughout your day, shift your focus on the things that you have to be grateful for. Focus on all that is going right in your life and not the things going 'wrong'.

3. Drink lots of (filtered) water.

Flush out those toxins and help your body, which is made up of mostly water, function at an efficient level.

4. Acts of Kindness

Doing something for someone else and expecting nothing in return is a powerful place of creation. You not only are vibrating high while doing the act, but not expecting anything in return is telling the Universe that you feel that you have so much and that you are not acting out of lack. Abundance is a high vibration.

5. Use your Words Wisely

When you speak ill of yourself or someone else, you are sending out all sorts of negativity into the universe and I promise you it will come back to you in physical or emotional form. Speak highly of yourself and those around you. Do not gossip. Do not belittle someones success. Bless them for all they have and in doing so you are attracting the same essence of what they have into your life.


Get the blood flowing and heart pumping with any sort of physical activity. Go for a walk, dance around your living room, hit the gym, jump on a rebounder, do a headstand... anything to get your body and energy moving and flowing.

7. Fuel your body with high vibration foods.

Honouring your body with good, high vibration food is not only an expression of self love but helps your overall vibration to get a boost. Examples of high vibration foods are; fresh and certified organic vegetables and fruits, herbs, spices, coconut oil , olive oil, nuts, seeds, herbal teas, natural supplements like spirulina, fermented foods, raw chocolate, legumes, etc.

LOW VIBRATION FOODS: GMO food, alcohol, meat, fish, poultry, sugar, white flour, white rice, processed foods, pasteurized cows milk, cheese and yoghurt, microwaved foods, frozen food, coffee etc.

8. Smudge that shit

Grab your Palo Santo, Sage, Frankincense or whatever other smnudging tools you are called to, and clear you personal energy and your environment. The smoke from these shift and change the ionic composition of the air, and add to that the power of intention and you've got yourself some magic.

Now we aren't looking to switch our entire lives overnight or make ourselves feel guilty for doing any lower vibration activities. We are just looking to be more self aware and to create more balance overall. Our effort and intention should always be to feel good and in doing so we attract 'good' right back into our experience. We are trying to reclaim the drivers seat of our lives and own up to the fact that we are powerful creators of our life's experience.
